Vincent Rodriguez

Vince Rodriguez is a dedicated public servant with over 30 years of experience in the professional fire service. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming a firefighter, and in August 1994, he realized that goal by joining the Houston Fire Department. During his 25-year tenure with HFD, Vince exemplified exceptional courage, earning multiple Medals of Valor in 1995 and 1999 for risking his life to save others and protect property.

In 2019, after a distinguished career with HFD, Vince retired but continued his passion for serving the community. With the support of his wife Debbie and their children Ethan, Ashton, and Alexa, he joined the Atascocita Fire Department in 2011. Demonstrating leadership and dedication, Vince advanced through the ranks to become a Lieutenant in 2013, a Captain in 2015, and a Battalion Chief in 2019. His bravery and commitment were further recognized when he was the inaugural recipient of the Medal of Valor from the Atascocita Fire Department in 2015.

Beyond his service, Vince is committed to lifelong learning and professional development. He holds a Bachelor of Emergency/Disaster Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Lone Star College, and an Associate of Fire Science and Safety Technology from Houston Community College. He is also a highly certified professional, with designations such as Fire Service Chief Executive Officer from Texas A&M TEEX Mays Business School and Certified Fire Executive from the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy, among others.
