Terry Wygal

Wygal's dedication to his community is unwavering, and he takes great pride in serving his fellow citizens. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fire Administration from Texas A&M San Antonio, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He also completed the Fire Service Chief Executive Officer program at Texas A&M TEEX Mays Business School and the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy from the Texas Fire Chiefs Association. Most recently Chief Wygal achieved a Masters in Public Administration degree, a testament to his commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.

Wygal's journey from volunteer firefighter to career firefighter, and ultimately Assistant Chief of Fire at the Atascocita Fire Department, was strongly influenced by the attacks of September 11, 2001 and a reflection of his dedication to his fellow coworkers and community. His commitment to teamwork is an ongoing inspiration to those around him to always do their best and work towards a common goal.
