Jason Archibald


Battalion Chief Jason Archibald is a seasoned public servant with a diverse and distinguished career in the fire service. A military police officer in the United States Army from 2000 to 2002, Jason transitioned to a second-generation firefighter, following in the footsteps of his father's 35-year service with the Houston Fire Department. With a remarkable 21 years in the fire service, Jason has spent 16 of those years with the Houston Fire Department, rising through the ranks to Captain in 2013 while serving at some of the busiest fire stations in the city.

 

In 2016, Jason brought his wealth of experience to the Atascocita Fire Department, starting as a Lieutenant for five years before ascending to Captain. His rapid ascent continued as he assumed the role of Battalion Chief. Jason's dedication extends to his family, with his wife currently serving as a firefighter/paramedic in the Houston Fire Department.  Together, Jason and his wife have four children and a grandson.

 

Jason's commitment to professional development is underscored by his educational achievements. In 2021, he earned an Associate's degree in Fire Science from Houston Community College, and he is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Emergency Management at Lone Star College, with an anticipated graduation in spring 2025. Jason's extensive list of certifications, including Master Firefighter, Master Investigator, Master Instructor, Incident Safety Officer, Incident Commander, Driver Operator - Pumper, Driver Operator - Aerial, Pro-Board Trench and Confined Space Rescue Technician, Fire Officer 4 and Texas Fire Chief Association Fire Service Executive Officer, highlights his dedication to excellence in every facet of the fire service. His leadership roles, combined with his educational pursuits and commitment to family, exemplify Jason Archibald as a distinguished and multifaceted leader in the firefighting community.
