AFD Selects Jonathan Campos as Assistant Chief of Operations

 

Airforce veteran with 17 years of firefighting and leadership experience rises to top of highly qualified field of candidates.

 

Atascocita, TX (June 11, 2021) – The Atascocita Fire Department has hired Jonathan Campos as Assistant Chief of Operations.

 

Campos brings with him seventeen years of progressive experience in firefighting, management, and leadership.  He is a 17-year veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a firefighter in a broad range of fire department roles and responsibilities and is currently a USAF reservist.  Campos is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), holds Masters, bachelors, and associates degrees and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

 

After leaving active duty in the USAF, Campos served in a disaster recovery project management role for Ceres Environmental, aiding in the rebuilding of Puerto Rico’s infrastructure in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.  In his new position as the Assistant Chief of Operations for the Atascocita Fire Department, Chief Campos will provide oversight and management of the operational functions of the Department and serve as an advisor to the Chief of Department. Additionally, he will work collectively with the Assistant Chief of Administration to formulate policy and procedure recommendations for presentation to the Chief of Department in support of the mission and goals of the Department.
