The fourth and fifth ambulances are currently used as a backup for high call volume periods and maintenance situations. Atascocita VFD also operates one of the States Mass Casualty and Mass Evacuation ambulance buses. This bus, AKA, AMBUS can hold 20 patients on litters and many more seated or in wheelchairs or car seats.
We are also committed to serving our community by offering training classes and participating in public relations events. Atascocita VFD training division provides education and skills training to our staff as well as to the community. CPR training is given several times monthly for citizens interested in becoming certified. We also participate in multiple public relations events across the community throughout the year.
As the Atascocita community continues to grow, more calls for service will be received and handled by our Department. Our commitment is to continue to serve our community and strive for excellence in prehospital emergency care.
